Funky Dragon is the Children & Young Peoples Assembly for Wales, and is an organization run by Children & Young People, for Children & Young People!

It gives children and young people the chance to get their voices heard on a national level. They have close links with the Welsh Assembly Government, and with all Youth Forums throughout Wales.

Each Youth Forum from across Wales elects three young people to sit on the Grand Council of Funky Dragon. These three young people represent (locally):

• The Youth Forum.
• The Voluntary Youth Service Sector (youth services and projects that ARE NOT run by the Council).
• School Councils.

The Grand Council decides what Funky Dragon is going to do (for example what issues they are going to take up.), and the representatives that take our local issues to Funky Dragon, and brings national issues back to Caerphilly.
